Volcano E Cig Review
Volcano E Cig: an explosive mixture?
When it comes to electronic cigarettes, the Volcano e cig sounds something of an explosive mixture. Despite the name, however, this is some way from the truth for a cigarette that “smokes” just as smoothly and as full of flavor as a conventional, tobacco-filled cigarette.
In fact, the benefits of switching to a smokeless, tobacco-free and more socially acceptable electronic cigarette, has been endorsed by no less a figure than US broadcaster, Rush Limbaugh, who singled out the Volcano e-cig as a particularly satisfying “smoke” on a recent radio show.
Flavor and taste
So, how does Volcano get the flavor and taste for which their products are known? The same sort of technology is common to most brands of e-cigarette and comprises the three basic components of battery, atomizer and liquid-filled cartridge. Draw on the e-cig and the atomizer turns the liquid into a vapor which can be inhaled and a harmless, odorless and toxin-free water vapor exhaled. When the atomizer is activated, the tip of the cigarette glows a cherry-red color to simulate a lit cigarette.
The liquid in the cartridge comprises water, glycerin, and propylene glycol which are substances generally considered safe for consumption by the USA’s Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and which are used in everyday medicines, cosmetics, foods, toothpastes, and so on. The only other ingredients include some food based flavoring and nicotine, of course, if you so choose (the fluid can be nicotine-free, “full flavor” strength or “light”).
So far, so much in common with practically every other electric cigarette. Where the Volcano e cig really stands out, however, is the sheer range of tastes and flavors available. There’s tobacco, of course, but then the list stretches almost endlessly, with many of the novel flavors reflecting Volcano’s headquarters in the US state of Hawaii, such as: CooCoo coconut, Waikiki watermelon, pineapple punch, Bluewater punch, Mauna Dew, cotton candy, grape escape, vanilla bean, cherry lava, kona coffee, milk chocolate, and menthol. In other words, a flavor to suit practically any taste.
Using the Volcano e cig
Because there’s no smoke and no fire, it’s odd to describe users of electronic cigarettes as “smokers”. Volcano has come up with an entirely new word to describe their users, therefore – they are “vapers” and the act of “smoking” is “vaping” (obviously, a reference to vapor inhaled and exhaled by the “vaper”).
A further invention by Volcano is the word for the liquid contained in the e-cigs’ cartridges – this has been called “e-juice” (for pretty obvious reasons).
What’s more, “vapers” can choose to fill their cartridges themselves. This seems a sensible way of recycling the cartridges and, somehow, is likely to give the user a greater sense of control over the way in which their e-cigarettes are assembled. Empty or blank cartridges can be bought, if necessary, and the full range of tastes and flavors is available to buy in 115ml child-proof bottles. Alternatively, you can save yourself the bother simply by buying any of the full range of pre-filled cartridges.
Volcano Starter kits
Before investing in your first Volcano e-cig starter kit, you might want to try one out. Single, all-in-one, disposable cigarettes are available either for those wanting to experiment for the first time or, indeed, for those who simply don’t want to be fussed with the business of replacing “e-juice” cartridges or recharging batteries. These disposable versions come in just one of two flavors – tobacco or menthol – and two levels of nicotine (full flavor or lights). Typically, each one will last the equivalent of two packs of conventional cigarettes – but cost half the price!
The regular starter kits are amongst the best we have encountered and come in three different sizes:
• The Volcano Express Starter Kits – $22.99: contains one rechargable battery, two cartomizers of your choice and a USB charger. This is great for those still unsure that want to test the e cig.
• The Volcano Kit – $64.99: contains two batteries and a Volcano e-cig body color in your choice of black or white, an atomizer, wall and USB battery chargers, and 25 cartridges in the strength and flavor of your choosing (considerably more than the 5 cartridges included in many other brands’ starter kits), all packed into an attractive gift box;
• The Magma Kit – $64.99: is designed for those prepared for a more hands-on “vaping” experience, since it involves filling the cartridges yourself with Volcano’s “e-juice”;
• The Inferno Kit – $74.99: represents what is probably the top of the range in Volcano’s starter kits and, once again, keeps the “vaper” completely in control by allowing him or her to fill and refill cartridges with “e-juice” as and when necessary.
• The LavaTube – $69.99: not so much a kit (although it can be order with other accessories) but is the latest offering from Volcano that needs a mention! The Lavatube allows the vaper to choose the voltage of your e cigarette and give you the optimal vaping experience.
Accessibility
The website describing Volcano e cig products is one of the best there is. It is clearly and sensibly laid out, easy to navigate and contains a wealth of information, much of it in videos. The shopping cart to check out arrangement makes it easy to buy the products you’ve selected and there is a “compare products” facility to help ensure that you’ve considered the alternatives and are buying just what you need.
There is also a large and seemingly quite active online forum where you can find answers to any of the questions you might have about these smokeless cigarettes or where you can, of course, post your own questions.
Customer service
The company has a customer service pledge that should give good security, comfort and reassurance to purchasers of the Volcano e-cig. Warranties, of course, are only as good as the action taken by the company in the event of a complaint, but Volcano’s pledge has every appearance of being sincere and genuine. There is a disarming honesty, for example, in the stated admission that the company can offer no money back guarantee, since the products are by their very nature consumable goods. This might help put into perspective the “money back guarantees” promised by some other suppliers.
The verdict
Of the various electronic cigarettes under review, this particular product is bound to rate highly in terms of the quality and sophistication of the cigarette, the wide range of tastes and flavors available, the quality of the company’s website and the commitment to customer service. The Volcano e-cig is unlikely to disappoint. Be sure to take advantage of the Volcano e-cig coupon code for 10% discount.

Tried many but this is the one i stuck with!
Like a few i have been through a couple of brands of e cigs, Volcano was actually the first i tried and the one i ended up going back to. For me the amount of options it has is the big plus and they are also continually improving and adding to their product range. I am using the Volcano kit at the moment and its really helping me cut back on the ‘normal cigarettes’.
oThere are many brands of ecigs out there but these products have to be some of the best!!
Well first off I’ve tried a few different ecigs which were ok but left me wanting more. I came across the Volcano Inferno and had to give it a try. Now I love it as much if not more than Marlboros. Volcano truely has the right idea how to run things. Their products are great and the customer service is also really good. I have been recommending volcano to everyone I know that smokes and I recommend it to anyone reading this. Just buy it you will be happy you did!!!
